Harzer Wandernadel Selketal-Stieg
Master the stamp hunt in the Selketal
The Harz Hiking Badge is a hiking badge that is divided into several performance levels. Stamping points have been set up at a total of 222 places of interest in the Harz Mountains, such as castles, monuments, churches, monasteries and viewpoints. There are 26 stamping points in the Selketal, 17 of which are on the Selketal-Stieg alone. For these 17 stamps, you can take home a special badge as well as many memories of wonderful hiking moments: The “Selketal-Stieg” hiking pin in the shape of a kingfisher, the symbolic animal of the region.
Stamp impressions are collected in the hiking pass, which is available for a small nominal fee at all Selketal and tourist information offices is available. As the individual hiking routes vary in difficulty, altitude and length, stamp hunting in the Harz Mountains is fun for the whole family. There is no time limit on collecting stamps and they can be collected over several years. With all 222 stamps you can bear the title “Harz Hiking Emperor”, and with just 8 stamps you receive the Harz Hiking Needle in bronze.
